Daddy politely pushed me into the world of pageantry. I remember he used to cut out the newspaper ads and put them on the fridge. That's how I ended up becoming a delegate in the Miss Teen Trinidad & Tobago pageant.

A couple days before this was published, the pageant organizers they took us to the mall and we sat in this grassy area to have our pictures taken by the media. I dressed up in my big sister's dress and my mother's brass jewelry. I just loved the elegant looked the jewelry projected upon me.

Anyway, my grandfather always saw my newspaper features before I did and so he saved almost all the newspaper clippings he could find. It goes without saing, he saved this one for me.
