DIRECTLY FROM THE MOUTH

The writer of this particular piece was a familiar face. She was constantly around during the Miss World Trinidad and Tobago phase. I felt very comfortable conversing with her as she is an easy-going person.

This interview was on a weekday and that week was a busy one. I was in the midst of my final preparations, as I was due to leave for the Miss Carival pageant a couple of days after this articles' date of publication. I was also making television and public appearances while trying to balance the rest of my general life. There was a lot going on, but I still found the time to sit with Halcian and chat for a bit. It was an honor to do so.

Press interviews are always frightening because you never know if your published article will consist of misconstrued or misrepresented words. Thankfully Halcian is one of those "directly from the mouth" journalists. She writes things down as expressed.
